I hope Scooby Works Like This

I did a little searching on youtube last night and came across this. Very exciting! Scooby will stalk birds in the yard and hopefully he can do it in the field. I've got lots of work ahead of me though. Whatever these dogs were looking for was just recently there. You should check out some of the videos on youtube.

I may be hunting with a video camera one day!

As promised, a recent photo of Bubba!

That is beautiful form for any dog. It is also a false point and back. If a bird had been at the end of that video, it would have been incredible. Trust me, Scooby and Bubba will do the same thing with a little experience. The difference will be that they will lead us to live birds. Now that we have located the dog trailer, they will probably have some company with them next year...

JB,it would be great to have three dogs working just like a few years back. What breed are you considering?

I have thought about getting a 'pocket' type dog like Sinbad was, but he was too small. I have considered a springer too. I am very impressed with those Viszlas too. If I could get a springer with a nose like Sinbad's, that may be ideal...thoughts?

JB, you might want to consider a Brittany. They're smaller dogs, are great hunters (point and retrieve), and good family pets. Quite a few Nebraska hunters use Brittanys and swear by them. The only thing I've observed is that they tire faster than the big dogs, but that's true of any smaller breed.

I agree. I have been thinking about a Brittany too. I will keep my eye open for one. I have a neighbor that works with the humane association and is constantly running across pets that need homes. I will put a bug in her ear about a brittany. I think it would be the perfect combination 'pocket' dog.
