What LP does not mention, because he is TBTB, is that the wind was blowing probably 50+ miles per hour, sustained, when the group photo was taken!

Definitely not a "good" day to hund the wily cock pheasant, or the quick and elusive Bob White quail.

Would have been kinda like trying to wing shoot the Concorde SST at full throttle.

Not a fruitful trip as far as the number of birds harvested, but a long awaited and gala reunion of the U.S. O.P.H.T. (U-SO-PAT) at Green Glade, in SE Nebraska.

Respectfully submitted,

An amazing group of people who have shared the smiles and the miles.

Having witnessed the resurrection of the dog trailer and the successful hunts with new dogs, I am currently in the search for a young Brittany to work with until the hunt next year. I believe that everyone enjoyed the improved results with the participation of our faithful friends. Make no mistake about it. Hunting the wiley cock pheasant is almost impossible without a dog. This trip proved it.

I can't wait to see the photos of the guys who hunted the Wilbur, NE Hyak farm. Limiting by noon sure is fun... I bet they had to clean birds for hours after that.

JB,

I too am awaiting the pictures of the "limit before noon", the day we left.

I have been assured by "old dog 1" that the photos will be forthcoming shortly.

I await their arrival with bated breath!
